Diamond Of Honor Banquet

One night of the year, the “Boys of Summer”, take off their cleats off and put on their “Sunday’s Best” and gather to honor the players and contributors of the past, celebrate the season just completed, and look ahead to another year of baseball across Washington County, from youth leagues to high school to adult amateur play.

The event also serves as a key fundraiser, supporting local teams, short and long term projects, scholarships, and the Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic Men's Amateur Baseball Tournaments.

Dinner and keynote speaker

The evening begins with a first class, sit down meal and full bar, the perfect warm-up for a night of celebration and fellowship. A major highlight is the keynote address delivered by a well known athlete or personality with a connection to the game of baseball. Past speakers have included Brewers greats Larry Hisle and Don August, Major League Umpire Bruce Froemming, Major League Baseball scorekeeper and Wisconsin Baseball Hall of Fame member Tim O'Driscoll, and local media personalities Drew Olson and Mitch “Thunder” Nelles.

Wall of Fame Honorees

The Diamond of Honor Banquet is the baseball community's opportunity to honor those who have made a lasting impact, both on and off the field, by enshrining them into the West Bend Baseball Wall of Fame at Carl M. Kuss Memorial Field. The WBBA typically honors a minimum of three individuals each year. To be eligible, an individual must have made a meaningful contribution to the game of baseball in West Bend and the surrounding area. At the banquet, each honoree receives their individual plaque and has the opportunity to address attendees about their experiences with the game.

Past Season Awards

The West Bend Baseball Association also takes time to recognize individuals who made an impact during the previous season from Little League through high school to our men's amateur teams. Honorees receive awards from local leagues, the George "Doc" Kraemer Man of the Year Award, and the Prudence Pick Hway Philanthropic Award.
