WBBA 50/50 Cash Raffle

Each fall, the WBBA hosts its annual 50/50 cash raffle, a fun evening that brings the local baseball community together while raising money for scholarships awarded the following year.

Held on a Friday evening in October, every ticket purchased enters you into the 50/50 drawing and includes free beer and pizza for the duration of the game. Half the proceeds go to nine lucky winners; the other half goes directly to support local student-athletes.

It's a classic Wisconsin night out — baseball, beer, and pizza — all for a great cause. Come out, enjoy the game, and you might just go home a winner.

WBBA Scholarship Program

Each year, the West Bend Baseball Association awards two $1,000 scholarships to deserving baseball student-athletes from West Bend East and West Bend West — a tradition of investing in the next generation that dates back to 2003. In total, the WBBA has awarded more than 50 scholarships since the program's founding.

How it's funded

Scholarships are funded through the WBBA's annual 50/50 cash raffle, held each October at a local West Bend establishment.

Tickets are sold from mid-May through the October event by WBBA directors and Friends of the WBBA, the group of organizations and individuals who rent Carl M. Kuss Memorial Field throughout the season.

Each ticket enters the holder into the 50/50 drawing, with prizes pulled after each inning of play, and includes free beer and pizza for the evening.

Eligibility requirements

To be considered for a WBBA scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Currently rostered on the West Bend East or West Bend West varsity baseball team

  • In good academic standing

  • Free of any athletic violations

Application process

Eligible students must complete a written application and participate in an interview before a group of WBBA Executive Board and Advisory Directors.

Scholarship recipients are announced at the final West Bend East vs. West Bend West regular season baseball game of the season.
