West Bend Men’s Amateur Baseball

A strong history of baseball in West Bend can be traced back all the way to before they even played at Carl M. Kuss Memorial FIeld. A strong history of Little League and High School baseball leads to a strong history of Adult Amateur Baseball. From West Bend Lithia, to West Bend Company, to West Bend 7 Up, high level Men’s Amateur Baseball continues to remain strong. Today West Bend houses 2 amateur teams, the flagship West Bend Spirits play in the Land O’ Lakes Baseball League and the Kewaskum A’s play in the Rock River Baseball League and Northeast Wisconsin Baseball League (NEWBL). The WBBA also hosts the Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic Baseball Tournament.

West Bend Spirits

West Bend’s flagship franchise, the West Bend Spirits baseball team last won the Grand Championship in 2019, and is continually one of Wisconsin’s top teams. Carrying the traditional, longstanding franchise mantle, the West Bend Spirits have continued the great tradition of West Bend baseball statewide. The Spirit has won four Land O’ Lakes Grand Championships since 2000, and were the 2016 Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic Champions.

Kewaskum A’s

Since the 1990’s the Kewaskum A’s have become one of the Rock River Baseball League’s top franchises. With their willingness to play anybody, anywhere, the A’s have a reputation of being a group of junkyard dogs on the ball field. With Kewaskum management involvement in creating the Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic, and the A’s playing their night games in West Bend, the A’s have bought into the West Bend Baseball Association’s mission. The A’s won the Rock River Championship in 2012 and the Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic Small Tournament in 2018.
